When I’m not writing, I work as a professional musician and producer. You can learn more about that work on my dedicated website:
My name is Jon, and I’m a freelance writer.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved writing.
My dad spent thirty-five years as an English teacher, and I used to go into his school (when my own was closed for training) and watch him teach classes of much older children. I was also a voracious reader, and when this early appetite was combined with my academic journey, it instilled in me a real love for the written word.
Since graduating in 2014, my words have been read (or heard!) by hundreds of thousands of people. I’ve had the privilege of working on many different projects, from writing blogs and paid advertising for large corporate clients to writing scripts for major theatre productions that tour the world.
As a journalist (with formal training in IPSO media standards), I regularly write about politics, culture, music, and film/TV.
I’ve always believed that the key to writing good content is just like the key to writing a good song – if you make it relatable, interesting, and engaging, then your audience will take care of the rest.
As such, quality, concise work that is entertaining and informative to read is always my goal.
Some of my bylines may read Jonathon Crump. However, I prefer to use the Nom De Plume, Jon Fellowes, where possible.
“Jon has been working for us over the last 5 years and has been a fantastic addition to our team. He is a very experienced content creator and regularly publishes articles for our web site http://www.lastminutemusicians.com and has recently been helping us with optimised content for our new website http://www.gigheaven.com. He is a pleasure to work with and always meets deadlines with little to no instruction needed from us. I can thoroughly recommend him for whatever writing projects you may have – if you need to get in touch with me to verify this please do.”Adam Hughes, Director of LastMinuteMusicians Ltd
